 Indian Air Force (IAF) released the notification for the Agniveer Vayu Intake 01/2026 under the Agnipath Scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification:

   • Science Subjects:

     • 10+2/Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics, and English with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.
     • OR a Diploma in Engineering in relevant streams with 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.
     • OR a Vocational Course with Physics and Mathematics with 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.

   • Other than Science Subjects:

     • 10+2/Intermediate in any stream with 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.

2. Age Limit:

   • Candidates born between January 1, 2005, and July 1, 2008 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.
   • The maximum age at enrollment is 21 years.

3. Marital Status:

   • Only unmarried candidates are eligible.
   • Female candidates must undertake not to get pregnant during the 4-year engagement period.

Selection Process

The selection process comprises three phases:

1. Phase I: Online Test

   • Science Subjects: Duration of 60 minutes.
   • Other than Science Subjects: Duration of 45 minutes.
   • Both Subjects: Duration of 85 minutes.
   • Marking Scheme: +1 for correct answers and -0.25 for incorrect answers.

2. Phase II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

   • For Male Candidates:
     • 1.6 km run to be completed within 7 minutes.
     • 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, and 20 squats within stipulated time.
   • For Female Candidates:
     • 1.6 km run to be completed within 8 minutes.
     • 10 sit-ups and 20 squats within stipulated time.

3. Phase III: Medical Examination

   • Conducted by the Air Force Medical Team as per IAF standards.

4. Adaptability Tests I & II

   • Assess suitability for IAF operations and military lifestyle.
