Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) announced the recruitment of 80 Librarians for the Department of Higher Education.

 This is a significant opportunity for individuals aspiring to build a career in the library and information science field within the state.

Vacancy Details:

The total number of vacancies is 80, distributed as follows:

• General (UR): 21 positions
• Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 8 positions
• Other Backward Classes (OBC): 22 positions
• Scheduled Castes (SC): 13 positions
• Scheduled Tribes (ST): 16 positions

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Educational Qualifications:

   • Candidates must possess a Master's degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in Arts, Commerce, Humanities, Law, Social Sciences, Sciences, or Languages from an Indian university or an equivalent degree from a recognized foreign university.
   • Additionally, candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or an equivalent test accredited by the UGC, such as SLET/SET.
      

2. Age Limit:

   • Minimum Age: 21 years
   • Maximum Age: 40 years
   • Age will be calculated as of January 1, 2025.
   • Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms for reserved categories.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official MPPSC website (www.mppsc.mp.gov.in) or the MP Online Portal (www.mponline.gov.in) from February 27, 2025, to March 26, 2025.

 

Applicants should ensure that all details are filled accurately and that required documents, including a recent photograph and signature, are uploaded in the specified format.

Application Fees:

• General and Other State Candidates: ₹500/-
• SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EWS/PwD Candidates (Domicile of MP): ₹250/-
• Correction Charges: ₹50/- per correction during the correction window
• MP Portal Charges: ₹40/-
• Fees can be paid online using Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet Banking.
   Selection Process:

The selection process comprises:

1. Written Examination: Scheduled for June 1, 2025.
    Interview: Candidates who qualify in the written exam will be called for an interview.
2. Document Verification: Verification of original documents to confirm eligibility.
3. Medical Examination: Ensuring the candidate is medically fit for the position.

Salary Details:

Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of ₹57,700/- under Pay Band 2, Academic Level 10.
