
ONGC Engineer & Gasoscience Recruitment 2025
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) announced a significant recruitment drive for 2025. This initiative aims to fill 108 vacancies in Engineering and Geoscience disciplines at the E1 level through a Computer-Based Test (CBT).

Available Positions and Qualifications:
ONGC is offering positions in both Engineering and Geoscience disciplines. Candidates must have a minimum of 60% marks in their respective qualifications.
- Geologist: Postgraduate degree in Geology, Petroleum Geoscience, or Geological Technology.
- Geophysicist (Surface/Wells): Postgraduate degree in Geophysics, Geophysical Technology, or Physics with Electronics.
- Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) - Mechanical: Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- AEE - Petroleum: Graduate degree in Petroleum or Applied Petroleum Engineering.
- AEE - Chemical: Graduate degree in Chemical Engineering.
- AEE - Electrical: Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering.
Final-year students can also apply if they meet the qualification criteria by July 31, 2025.
The age limits vary based on the category and the position applied for.

Selection Process:
The selection process comprises two stages:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT):
- Total Marks: 85
- Duration: 2 hours
- Sections:
- Concerned Domain: 40 marks
- General Awareness: 10 marks
- Aptitude Test: 25 marks
- English Language: 10 marks
- Interview:
- Total Marks: 15
The final selection will be based on the combined performance in the CBT and the interview.
Application Process:
Interested candidates can apply online through the official ONGC website. The application fee is ₹1,000 for General/EWS/OBC candidates, while SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted from the fee. The fee can be paid online via Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI.
Selected candidates will receive a salary ranging from ₹60,000 to ₹1,80,000 per month at the E1 level. In addition to the basic salary, employees will be entitled to allowances such as HRA, DA, Provident Fund, Medical Benefits, Leave Encashment, and Post-Retirement Benefits.
