1. Registration: Visit the official India Post GDS portal at https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/ and register using a valid mobile number and email ID. Ensure these remain active throughout the recruitment process.
2. Fee Payment: The application fee is ₹100 for General, OBC, and EWS male candidates. Female, SC/ST, PwD, and Transwomen candidates are exempted from the fee. Payments can be made online through the portal.
3. Online Application: After registration and fee payment, fill out the application form with accurate personal and educational details. Upload necessary documents, including a recent photograph and signature, in the prescribed format.

Selection Process:

The selection will be based on a system-generated merit list, considering the marks obtained in the 10th standard. No weightage will be given for higher educational qualifications. In case of a tie, the older candidate will be preferred. There will be no written examination or interview for these positions.

Job Profiles and Salary:

• Branch Postmaster (BPM): Responsible for managing the affairs of the Branch Post Office, including mail conveyance and counter operations. The salary ranges from ₹12,000 to ₹29,380 per month.
• Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM): Assists the BPM in daily operations and may be required to perform duties like mail delivery and other responsibilities assigned by the BPM. The salary ranges from ₹10,000 to ₹24,470 per month.
• Dak Sevak: Handles various tasks, including mail delivery, mail conveyance, and other duties assigned by the Postmaster or Sub Postmaster. The salary ranges from ₹10,000 to ₹24,470 per month.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mail Delivery and Collection: Ensuring timely delivery and collection of mail within the assigned area.
• Customer Interaction: Providing postal services to customers, including savings bank facilities, insurance services, and other postal products.
• Branch Operations: Managing day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring compliance with departmental guidelines and procedures.

Important Considerations:

• Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification. Ensure all original documents are available and valid.
• Training: Selected candidates will undergo mandatory training as prescribed by the Department of Posts.
• Probation Period: There will be a probation period during which performance will be assessed.
